Connecticut will likely legalize marijuana in the 2019 legislative session. One group of pro-pot activists are hoping to make sure that marijuana legalization won’t fall into the hands of big business, but will instead provide support to those affected by the war on drugs.
Mieum Media spoke with Jason Ortiz, an organizer with Connecticut United for Reform & Equity, or CURE, a newly-formed group that is attempting to push legislators to think beyond the confines of the “legalize it” or “don’t legalize it” binary.
