Carl Schurz Park is located on the East River in Manhattan. Is it worth a trip to check it out?
The park is named for Carl Schurz, a German American Civil War General, ambassador to Spain, U.S. Senator, Secretary of the Interior, editor of what is now the New York Post, and he lived in New York City from 1881 until his death in 1906.
