Within Fort Tryon Park is The Cloisters, which is a museum governed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It may be a touch on the small side, but given that it is free for New York State residents–as well as students in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York–it’s hardly a stop that one should miss out on.
